CSL led two open house discussions on December 14th and 15th about the status of Downtown Scottsdale 2.0, the city’s Tourism-Related Economic Feasibility Study. These meetings provided an opportunity for local stakeholders to voice their opinions about CSL's research and findings to-date, discuss their concepts and ideas for tourism-related development in Scottsdale, and provide their thoughts on the current state of downtown.

PUBLIC INPUT OPEN HOUSE
The city is seeking community input related to research and analysis findings to Downtown Scottsdale 2.0 (Tourism-related Downtown Economic Feasibility Study). Open house meetings will include a presentation by the contractor, CSL International, community and city staff conversation roundtables and an overview of comparable city case studies/concepts.

The Downtown Scottsdale 2.0 is a staged economic and planning analysis of the Downtown Scottsdale area with a focus on maximizing economic performance and creating a highly desirable downtown. A collaboration of the Economic Development, Planning, Tourism & Events and Transportation Departments, this project includes several phases of work such as: an assessment of the overall urban design of downtown Scottsdale, and how that design can be improved as to walkability, liveliness, mix of retail, services, office, residential and how best to realize that mix; an assessment of parking and transportation related improvements; and the development of models that support invest ability.
